On Memorial Day, Chef Dwayne, Karen (Activity Director) and the staff moved dining tables out onto the porch and gave St. Francis Villa residents a Memorial Day Picnic! A perfect breeze and the shade of the porch made for an ideal setting. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans and watermelon! Karen decorated with red, white and blue in honor of those residents who served in our country’s armed forces and in memory of those who have given their all in the name of our freedom. Memories of wartime were shared, both by the soldiers and those residents who went through wartime on U.S. soil.
Chef Dwayne, Mayda, David, Karen, Barbara, Betty, Terry, Susan, Elba, and MaryAnn all worked hard to make the picnic a success.
